Le 22 Mai 2018 j’ai eu la chance d’aller voir en avant-première le premier long-métrage de la réalisatrice Vanessa FILHO “ Gueule d’Ange ”. Vanessa FILHO est autodidacte, elle a exercé dans plusieurs domaines artistiques : réalisations de clips, création de pochettes de disques, chanteuse, photographe …

Vanessa FILHO a eu la gentillesse de répondre à mes questions malgré mon manque d’expérience en tant que jeune reporter.

Maëlle VABRE : Bonjour Vanessa FILHO Qu’est-ce qui a été pour vous le plus difficile quand vous avez commencé en autodidacte.

Vanessa FILHO : C’est une bonne question , cela n’a pas été difficile, c’est un choix de ma part. J’ai fais un Bac cinéma, j’ai décidé très tôt à 13 ans d’être réalisatrice, j’avais une impatience en moi folle de terminer le lycée et de passer à l’acte tout de suite. J’ai fais une école de théâtre pour appréhender les scènes.

J’avais été prise dans une école en Angleterre spécialisée dans le cinéma, mais c’etait un cursus de 3 ans. J’avais trop d’impatience pour mener une vie d’étudiante classique et attendre encore des années.

Je me suis lancée tout de suite.

À 18 ans j’ai fais un peu de théâtre, j’ai écris des articles de cinéma et à côté je cherchais des stages sur des tournages comme assistante coiffeuse… J’ai fait plein de choses différentes parce que je voulais apprendre sur le terrain, observer, poser plein de questions aux gens et je me suis lancée dans ma première réalisation à 19 ans. C’est un choix, je ne sais pas si c’était difficile mais ce qui est sur c’est que le temps est passé, j’ai oeuvré dans plein de domaines différents en réalisation, c’est sur qu’on arrive à un moment donné on a envie de faire son premier long-métrage, on a un parcours atypique qui est moins formaté que d’autres et le côté multiple casquette peut faire peur ! Il faut s’y attendre et s’y préparer.

Je ne regrette pas d’avoir choisi d’être autodidacte.

M.V : Quel conseil donneriez-vous à une plus jeune version de vous-même qui débute en dans la réalisation en autodidacte ?

V.F : Je dirais que si c’est viscéral et si c’est une vrai nécessité au plus profond, c’est de ne jamais lâcher et de comprendre que ce métier demande de la résistance. C’est quelque chose qu’il faut accueillir et qui ne doit pas être un frein, jamais !
